ABOUT
This website is a visualization of the Urban Park Ranger calls within Van Cortlandt Park located in the Bronx in New York City.
These calls span from a time from 2018-2021 and has information from NYC Open Data that details call times, call source, animal information, and more.
This website was inspired by an actual Park Ranger or Police car radio, where the information from many calls would come to the ranger.
In total there were 99 calls. From those 99 animal reports, 44 of the calls were reporting found birds, 14 of them were about reptiles, 33 of them were about mammals, and 3 of them were about domestic animals.
